What is HydraAI

HydraAI is a chat panel inside Frappe Desk. You describe what you need in plain English, and it builds it on your site: custom fields, DocTypes, workflows, reports, print formats, server and client scripts, notifications, dashboards and data imports.

It works through your own login, so it can only see and change what your account can.

IMPORTANT

Use HydraAI on a development or sandbox site, not on your live site. When a change is ready, Custom Migrator turns it into a pull request and Espresso deploys it once it's merged. For production use with your own AI provider, see the Enterprise plan.

How it works

Open the panel with the ✦ tab on the right edge of any Desk page, or press Ctrl + Alt + H. Type what you want and pick a mode:

Mode	What it does	Use it for
Ask	Looks things up and answers. Write actions are blocked.	Questions about your setup or about ERPNext
Fast (default)	Makes the change straight away	Small, clear changes
Plan	Writes a plan first. Nothing is built until you press Proceed.	Anything bigger, or anything that deletes

In Plan mode it shows you the plan first, and nothing changes until you say so. When it's done, a Changes Made card lists everything it created or updated, with links. From there, Migrate sends the changes to Custom Migrator.

What it does before it says done

• Reads your site first. It checks the fields, roles and installed apps you actually have, so it doesn't invent field names.
• Test-runs Server Scripts and Script Reports before saving them, with sample data, and checks the field names in them against your site.
• Re-reads the record after many changes to confirm the change took effect, and tells you what it could and couldn't confirm.

Still, open what it built and try it before you migrate it.
